Well, that’s why Google has made the big announcement related to the Android 15 update!

It’s good news for Android users out there…

Google has recently made a big announcement regarding the launch of Android 15 in the upcoming months of October.

Did you know?

According to a report by 9To5 Google, Google has rolled out a system update allowing Android 15 beta testers to revert to Android 14 if they choose to exit the Android Beta Program.

The most interesting aspect is that the search engine giant, Google, said, “If you are waiting for the Android 15 stable release, you should not think about it until Android 15 is available in October”.

With Google released Beta 4 of Android 15, the search engine giant hinted that it would be the final scheduled update in the beta program of Android 15. This fallback update points to a delay in the release of the next Android version, which was first predicted to happen in September.

This effectively confirms that Google intends to release the Android 15 upgrade for the Pixel in October, as this message can only originate from Google. Unexpectedly, Google included this notice at this time, given that the corporation rejected our report when we asked for clarification.

Does Android 15 Support My Android Smartphone?

Well, if you own the mentioned Pixel devices, then Android 15 will surely support it. Now Google has already confirmed that it will release the Android 15 stable update for Pixel devices.

Let’s take a look at the Pixel devices on which Google plans to roll out the Android 15 stable update.

When Can We Expect the Android 15 Launch?

Well, the date is uncertain yet!

Though Google said that it will release in October, the final date is yet to come. But some of the inside sources suggest that it might come out in the middle of the month.

According to insiders who spoke with Android Authority, Google intends to release the Android 15 source code next week, so independent Android platform developers, at least, won’t have to wait long to get their hands on it.

However, it seems that this emphasis on stability is what’s causing the delay in the release of Android 15. According to the insider, Google can fully test and improve the update before making it available to Pixel users because of the additional time.

As of right now, Google has been silent regarding the precise release date of Android 15. It is difficult to deny, though, that the Android 15 PQR1 beta program has already started. For more exciting news updates, stay tuned to EitBiz today! But that doesn’t mean our Android lacks the race!

Recent news made its way in the headline that Android smartphones will likely get an AI-powered anti-theft upgrade to protect your personal information.

Just a few months ago, Google talked about a modern and improved “Theft Detection Lock Tool” that will likely change the security aspect in the smartphone realm.

So, the question is- When is it going to be released?

Let’s find out!

When Will Google Launch the Theft Detection Lock Tool? How Does it Work?

Well, the tool is expected to debut with Android 15 and may sense a device’s motion like someone running with a phone, biking, driving, or even if someone snatches your Android smartphone, it will immediately lock the screen, as per Google.

According to an Android journalist, Theft Detection Lock is finally rolling out.

Speaking of its functioning, Google said that AI uses your phone’s gyroscope and accelerometer to identify different kinds of motion including thefts. Having said that if the tool detects any of the aforementioned mention, it will immediately lock your phone’s screen.

Is it available to all users worldwide?

Currently, the tool is rolling out to a limited base of users in Brazil who signed up for “Google’s Beta Program”. Though there is no definite date for its launch, it will probably start with new Google flagship models running on Android 10+.

What are the Common Security Additions Under the Anti-Theft Detection Tool?

Google is finally rolling out the anti-theft detection tool with several other security additions. Let’s take a look at some of the common additions to enhance the protection of your Android smartphone.

• Enhanced Factory Reset Protection: It is harder for thieves to reset your phone and set it up under a new account to keep your data secure.

• Private Spaces for Sensitive Apps: Keep your most sensitive apps and information hidden with private spaces to add an extra layer of security.

• Improved Find My Device: Mark it as “Lost” on Find My Device to easily track your lost phone to quickly recover it.

• Automatic Lock for Failed Attempts: If someone tries to unlock your phone too many times, it will automatically lock to prevent unauthorized access.

• Offline Locking Capability: Even if your phone is offline, you can still lock it, which ensures it stays secure in all situations.

• Remote Lock Feature: Lock your phone’s screen remotely using just your phone number and a quick security challenge.

Later this year, Google will be rolling out some new tools available through a Google Play service update only for Android 15 users. For more interesting updates to Android or technology, stay tuned to EitBiz today.
